The Genetic Science Learning Center

K-11 0 favorites 0 promising practices http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/ Last updated: Fri, 08/27/2021 - 11:48 share

How It Works

The Genetic Science Learning Center at the University of Utah provides a collection of information and other resources on genetics and genetic engineering for students and their teachers. This is a particularly well-organized academic site.

In the Classroom

Use this site to help students review a unit on genetics. There are plenty of links that students can access reviewing a number of subjects within genetics. Save the site on your class wiki or web page to allow students to access it both in and out of the classroom. The "tour the basics" link would also be great at the beginning of a unit on genetics to assess what knowledge the students already have, and bring them all up to speed. Any science teacher should save this site and use it frequently in their class!
