Cassini-Huygens Mission to Saturn and Titan

On October 15, 1997, the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft was launched from the Kennedy Space Center, headed for Saturn. In July of 2004, the craft is scheduled to reach the ringed planet. This site will provide you and your students with daily mission updates, images, and information about the science behind the mission.

In the Classroom

Visit the teacher section to browse through three extensive educational programs for grades K - 4, 5 - 8, and 9 - 12. (All lesson plans and activities are aligned to national standards.) The searchable site also offers a "For Kids" section that provides activities, fun facts, and amazing stories related to the Saturn mission.
